Zip Line Canopy Tour
Just minutes from Palmar, the Bastimentos Sky Canopy Tour is a must-do for all adventure seekers! This amazing tour features 7 zip lines and a tree top ropes challenge course. Trips depart daily at 10 am and 2 pm. ($55/person regular, $50 for Palmar guests when booked through Palmar)
Zapatilla Island Tour
Visit the unspoiled Zapatilla Islands which are part of the Bastimentos National Marine Park. Snorkeling, beachcombing and jungle walks are all available. ($25+ per person, $10 park admission fee)
Jungle Tour
Trek through the jungle looking for birds, monkeys, sloths and other wildlife. We can arrange tours to Salt Creek or to a nearby jungle trail when a guide is available.
Fishing Tours
Half Day or Full Day Fishing Trip to some of the areas exotic reefs or inshore spots.
Snorkeling Trips
Hop on a boat to some of the area's best snorkeling spots where you will see tropical fish and a tremendous variety of corals, sponges and other reef creatures. ($15-20+ per person depending on tour)
Dive Trips or Certification
If diving is your passion let us make arrangements to take you on a reef dive to remember. All gear is included. (Certification from $225 per person, Discovery SCUBA from $60 per person, Dive trips from $35 per person)
Cave Tour
Visit the local Bastimentos Bat Caves for a real adventure to write home about. $20-25+ per person.
Real Estate Tour
Together with our friends at Bocas del Toro Realty we can take you on a memorable tour of the area where you will see a number of properties for sale. We can also design a tour specifically for you and the properties you wish to see.

Hiking
We will be happy to recommend trails for all skill levels. Popular trips include hiking to Polo Beach, hiking to Wizard Beach, hiking to Bastimentos Town and stopping along the way for some delicious Thai food in the jungle!
Yoga
At Palmar Tent Lodge we like to incorporate some invigorating beachfront yoga into our daily schedules. Affordable classes are available daily when we have an instructor present and you are welcome to use our Great House to practice on your own schedule! We have mats available. Surfing
Red Frog Beach is an ideal beach for beginning surfers for much of the year. More experienced surfers can hike to Wizard Beach or Long Beach if you want to trek by foot or we can call you a water taxi to shuttle you to any of the amazing surf breaks that Bocas has to offer!
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
We have two 10 foot 6 stand up paddle boards available to rent at Palmar. A great way to explore the nearby beaches and coastal islands when the waves are small or to check out the mangroves on the inland side of Bastimentos.
Kayaking
Our area is amazing to explore by kayak and we have kayaks available to rent.
Fishing
If you don't want to go on a fancy fishing cruise we can guide you to some nearby fishing holes where you can try your luck! Fishing gear available for rent.
Snorkeling
Our staff knows a number of secret snorkeling spots within walking distance of Palmar. Masks and snorkels are available for rent.
